Basic Channel Setup
Creating a Welcome Channel: A welcome channel is a great place to post server rules, announcements, and onboarding information for new members.
Go to Server Settings: Click on your server name at the top left and select "Server Settings."


Create a New Channel: Click on the "+" sign next to "Text Channels" and name your new channel "Welcome."



Disable "Send Messages" for @everyone: In the channel settings, navigate to "Permissions," select "@everyone," and turn off "Send Messages" to prevent spam.

Creating Region Roles
Navigate to “Server Settings” > “Roles”: Click on the server name, go to "Server Settings," then "Roles."
Create Role: Click the “+” to create a new role.

Name and Assign Colors: Name the role based on regions or categories (e.g., "North America," "Europe") and assign a distinct color for easy identification.

Creating Region-Locked Areas
Go to the Server Menu: Click on the server name and select “Create Category.”
Enable “Private Category”: Check the box to make the category private.

Assign Appropriate Roles: Select the roles you want to grant access to this category.

Creating Channels
Click the (+) Beside a Category Name: This option allows you to create a new text or voice channel within that category.

Adjust Channel Permissions: Manually set permissions to ensure they align with the category’s settings.

Cloning Channels
Right-click a Channel Name: Choose “Clone Channel” from the context menu.
Adjust Settings as Needed: Rename and configure permissions for the new channel.

Validating Permissions
Use “View Servers as Role”: This feature allows you to view the server from the perspective of any role, ensuring permissions are set correctly.
Assign Roles to Members: Through server settings, assign the necessary roles to members to control access and capabilities.
Reporting Content to Discord
Save Message, User, and Server IDs: Right-click messages, users, or servers to save their IDs. This is crucial for detailed reports.
Enable Developer Mode: Go to “User Settings” > “Advanced” > “Developer Mode” for easier access to IDs.
Fill Out the Report Form: Visit Discord’s Trust & Safety page to submit a report.
Methods of Reporting:
Delete and Report: You can save a message and send it directly to Discord’s Trust & Safety team for review.
In-App Reporting: Right-click or use the three-dot menu to report messages directly in Discord.
iOS Reporting: On mobile, long press a message and select the “Report” button.
