How to Create an Email Outreach Campaign

Access Apollo

  • Log into your Apollo account.

  • Navigate to the “Engage” tab and select “Create new sequence.”

  • From the three options, select “from scratch”

Create a New Email Sequence

  • Name your sequence, following a standard naming convention like [Objective] - [Context] for future identification.

  • Select a schedule, then hit “create”

Add a Step to the Sequence

  • You may select the type of sequence step you prefer. For this example, we’re using automatic email.

  • Define when the emails should be sent after activation. Example: Set a delay of 30 minutes to send emails after activation.

Set Up the Outreach Email

  • To Input your email content, click on the email step we just added, paste your email content (you may also use the suggested AI-generated content on the right side and save the changes.

  • Tip: Use personalization snippets like {First Name} to customize the message for each recipient.

Upload Your Contact List

  • Click “Add Contacts” and select “Upload CSV.”

  • Choose the CSV file from your computer and import your contact list.

Assign Contacts to the Sequence

  • After importing, scroll down and click “Import.”

  • Next, click “Add to sequence,” choose your sequence, and confirm.

Send a Test Email

  • Before launching the campaign, send a test email to yourself to ensure there are no errors.

  • Go to the sequence dashboard, select your sequence, and click “Send Test Email to Me.”

Activate the Sequence

  • Once the test email is reviewed and finalized, return to the sequence dashboard.

  • Activate the sequence by toggling the activation switch.
